Installation
Prerequisites
For SIXs controller emulation and KB/M features, you need to have USBIP and VIIPER installed before installing SIX.
Prerequisites
You can go without installing these prerequisites, but then some features of SIX will just not work.
If you went without the prerequisites, it is very strongly recommended to disable the corresponding features in the SIX configuration file.
๐ USBIP
usbip-win2 is by far the most complete implementation of USBIP for Windows.

Be sure to grab the latest version!

Steam OS users
If you are installing SISR on Steam OS, you have to switch to the desktop mode and enable write access to the root filesystem first:

USBIP Client Requirement
USBIP requires the vhci-hcd (Virtual Host Controller Interface) kernel module on Linux.
Most Linux distributions include this module but don't load it automatically.
๐งท One-Time Setup
To load the module automatically on boot:
๐ Manual Loading
To load the module for the current session only:
๐ Verification
Check if the module is loaded:
โ๏ธ VIIPER Installation
VIIPER is bundled with SISR.
However, separate installation is recommended.
You can do that using the VIIPER install script
In a powerShell run
Linux requires VIIPER as a system service:
This will install VIIPER, and run it as a systemd service.
For more details, see the VIIPER documentation
